62 business organizations work on this territory. Those are mostly micro-firms that hire 1-5 employees, then small firms with 5-50. There isn’t middle (50-250 employees) or big firms (over 250 employees).

On this territory obtain 140 entrepreneurs stores. The most frequent activity is trading ( 34 entrepreneurs or 24.28%), production of wooden wrapping materials( 10 entrepreneurs or 7.14%), hotel services( 7 entrepreneurs or 5.00%), beauty or hair salons(7 entrepreneurs or 5.00%).

Employment

Razanj municipality lags behind the other municipalities of central Serbia and Nisava county according to number of employed people to 1000 inhabitants ( 96 of 1000 are employed). There are 1008 people that have a job. 812 of them work for companies, and 196 have their own small companies or are employed in small companies.

Wages
In second quarter of 2007 average wage was 20662 dinars, which is 26.63% less than average wage in country. That puts Razanj municipality on 111th place in Republic of Serbia.

Agriculture

Of all land 45.15% are cultivated fields: fields 39.59%, gardens 0.08%, orchards 2.26%, vineyards 1.45%, meadows 1.80%, cattle grazing 9.19%, The rest of the land( 45.66%) are forests, swamps,…

Average size of  farm is about 3.89ha, divided in few lots. Average size of lot is 0.27ha. By structure of ownership, 96.60 of land is private, 2.85 is state property, 0.02 is public property, 0.33% is in other type of property.
Agriculture being primary economic resource isn’t properly valorized. Small and individual sector is dominant and is not turned toward market. Efficiency in using this resource in next period will depend on organization of farmers and realization of urging measures from Republic of Serbia.
About half of populations in Razanj municipality are farmers. That is decreasing every year. Age structure is changing with elderly people staying on farms( 32% of village population are over 60 years old, and only 22.4% is younger then 25).

16926ha are cultivated fields, which is 59% of total area of Razanj municipality. Grains are mostly grown ( 56.6%), then roughage( 32.87%) and vegetables( 9.02%), while only 0.14% is industrial plants.
Even though conditions are favorable, there aren’t many orchards and vineyards. Orchards take 5.02 and vineyards 3.22 percent of cultivated fields.
Fields and meadows take 2862.486 ha( 16.91% of cultivated fields). Municipality has good conditions to develop cattle growing. In last few years livestock inventory decreased.
According to data for 2007 there were 4000 heads of cattle, 13000 pigs, 3500 goats and sheep and 65000 poultries. There are 1520 registered farms on this territory.
